The Information Processing Group, led by Professor V John Mathews, is involved with the theory and applications of information or signal processing in a number of application areas. In particular, the group is actively involved in research on adaptive and nonlinear systems, machine learning, perceptually-tuned signal processing, and the applications of information/signal processing algorithms in neural engineering and bio-medicine, communication systems, aerospace, audio processing and image processing. Brief descriptions of the group’s past contributions and current activities can be found in the following links.
